The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Gets Another Upgrade

So, you might be wondering how a Jeep Wrangler that can crawl through some of the world’s toughest terrain can be made any better. For instance, the Ford F-150 is getting switched over to aluminum and the stats have the folks over there smiling. Jeep has always been one of the smarter manufacturers and they decided that the 2017 Jeep Wrangler will also be aluminum. Aluminum is a much lighter weight metal and is a stronger material then many of its other counterparts.

The frame change to aluminum will likely take hundreds of pounds off of the Jeep Wrangler. The question is, at what cost? The sport bar or something people have in the past referred to as the, “roll bar,” was removed as a way to implement this change. The soft top has been replaced with something else that has yet to be named and there are new grab handles to keep Jeep Wrangler newbies from rolling all over the place. You're going to love it.

While some may be saddened by the change, the possibility of switching to the lighter metal could bring in a new wave of capabilities for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Imagine your beloved Jeep Wrangler, but imagine it a little lighter, faster, stronger, and more powerful than ever before it’s the bionic…uh 2017 Jeep Wrangler. We think you’re going to love it. When they are released you can test drive one at McConnell CDJR.
